Jackie Maikuku, 19 appeared at the Te Awamutu District court on Monday morning where he faced charges of aggravated assault and assault with intent to injure. Police car set on fire – Hamilton

Police believe a fire, which destroyed a patrol car outside the Hamilton East Police Station last night, was intentional. The community station was unmanned when emergency services were alerted to the blaze about 8.15pm last night, Hamilton police acting Senior Sergeant Neville Ross said.
