A man who was due to go on trial for sexual abuse was able to skip the country because a court staff member forgot to inform Internal Affairs of his bail conditions. The 42-year-old from Christchurch was supposed to face court in Greymouth this week on charges he sexually abused his daughter over an eight-month period.
