Police believe a fire, which destroyed a patrol car outside the Hamilton East Police Station last night, was intentional. The community station was unmanned when emergency services were alerted to the blaze about 8.15pm last night, Hamilton police acting Senior Sergeant Neville Ross said. A High Court judge has reserved his decision on an appeal by a Taupo police officer against his conviction on a drink driving charge.
